According to Webster's New World Dictionary – Third College Edition:
an•gels: n. 1. Theol. a) a messenger of God b) a supernatural being, either good or bad, to whom are attributed greater than human power, intelligence, etc. 2. A conventionalized image of a white-robed figure in human form with wings and a halo.

Here at FBD, you will not find the "conventionalized image" of an angel. Instead, you can see the powerful, and sometimes terrifying messengers and warriors of Heaven's legions. Imagine a creature who could obliterate an entire army of thousands in one evening. Or perhaps a creature who could invoke such fear as to make a killer stop dead in his tracks and beg forgiveness. What would a creature like that look like?

To quote a line from my favorite movie series "The Prophecy":
"Did you ever notice (in the Bible) that when God needed to make an example of someone, or when God needed a killing... he sent an angel? What would a creature like that look like? Imagine a creature whose whole existence is spent praising its God, all the while with one wing dipped in blood. Tell me, would you ever really want to meet an angel?"

I've received quite a few e-mails regarding our "Angels" series of prints. Some good, some not so good. Of all the comments, one thing is for certain: People generally are "offended" by an angel that is depicted as anything other than the "conventionalized image". While viewing these prints, try to keep an open mind, and remember: an angel is an angel, regardless. Even Lucifer is an angel. He was made an angel, and like the leopard, he cannot change his spots.

We welcome your feedback regarding all our prints, but we especially welcome comments about our Angel series. We will be posting some of your comments here in the future, for your reading pleasure.

As with all the prints available at FBD, you can order yours in a variety of mounting options. Unmounted: The print is delivered to you, the Collector, unmounted, so that you may choose to have it framed yourself. Standard Mounting: The print is dry-mounted to a sturdy board, with a matte laminate finish to protect the print and reduce glare, and a black edge.
Premium Mounting: The print is dry-mounted to a sturdy board, with a complimentary mat colour, either a gold or silver trim, a matte laminate finish to protect and reduce glare, and a black edge. Each print also comes with it's own Certificate of Authenticity attesting to its number in the limited print-run.
