The Biker Art Series
uses a technique called pointillism to render the illusion of chrome
and shiny surfaces. This technique lends itself nicely to the rendering
of motorcycles, yet it is time consuming. Each Biker Art original took
up to 60 hours to complete. Each original was made with India ink and
a .5mm tech. pen, to place the dots in such a way to give the illusion
of shades of grey. Pointillism is a technique associated with impressionist
movement, and is best viewed at a distance to allow the eye to "blend"
the dots.
