Gargoyles are the silent watchful guardians of many historical castles, churches and monasteries around the globe. The majority of art's gargoyles and grotesques are stoic and unfeeling creatures, caved of granite or marble. Our gargoyles have feelings and emotional traits that govern them, as you'll see from viewing our prints.

Each of the Guardian Series of pictures were created using Prisma-Colours on black linen stock. The reason for the black stock was because it enhances the brooding gothic moodiness of the gargoyles. The texture of the stock reproduces excellently in the prints, but lacks a little in the on-screen display.

As with all the prints available at FBD, you can order yours in a variety of mounting options. Unmounted: The print is delivered to you, the Collector, unmounted, so that you may choose to have it framed yourself. Standard Mounting: The print is dry-mounted to a sturdy board, with a matte laminate finish to protect the print and reduce glare, and a black edge.
Premium Mounting: The print is dry-mounted to a sturdy board, with a complimentary mat colour, either a gold or silver trim, a matte laminate finish to protect and reduce glare, and a black edge. Each print also comes with it's own Certificate of Authenticity attesting to its number in the limited print-run.
